Lovely discussion followed ranging from historical foundations of Australian human rights protection system to current human rights issues including our treatment of “boat people” and violence against women.

The Year 12 students were awarded “Citizens of Humanity” citation by the Australian Council for Human Rights Education in the recognition of their achievements in study of human rights.
My best congratulations go to Ms  Yelena Vercoe and Ms Mai Ni Pham, Teachers and Year 12 students at the Hurlstone Agricultural High School on this worthy achievement.
