Dr. Lynda Blanchard (ACHRE), Rector Francisco Miguel Martins, National University of Timor- Leste (UNTL) and students from the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (UNTL—IPACS) met in June 2019. The students are seeking to establish a postgraduate programme in ‘peace and conflict studies’ with links to a newly established regional undergraduate program in ‘human rights and democratisation’. Furthermore, an informal meeting with Dr. Helen Hill shed light on her work with the Ministry for Education to revise the secondary school syllabus in Timor Leste, to reflect the essence of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
