Anti-Racism Framework

On the 17th October, the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia released the following report titled An Anti-racism framework: The perspectives of multicultural Australia – https://humanrights.gov.au/our-work/race-discrimination/publications/anti-racism-framework-perspectives-multicultural

The report documents findings from consultations with more than 1200 people who have experienced racism in Australia and provides five key recommendations stemming from a national anti-racism framework. Two of the recommendations require human rights education: 1. for schools to educate on racism and take a strengths-based approach on racial diversity; and 2. for public and private institutions to engage anti-racism training.
