NAIDOC Week 2025: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy

July 6th—July 13th

ABC Education is pleased to once again partner with the National NAIDOC Committee to create the official NAIDOC Week education resources. Today, educators around Australia have access to the official educational resources for this year’s NAIDOC Week theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy on the ABC Education website.

Educational resources relate directly to supporting teachers in addressing The Australian Curriculum: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Culture cross-curriculum priority.

The resources, written by educators from Culture is Life and overseen by ACHRE member and Co-Chair, National NAIDOC Committee, Prof. Lynette Riley, AO, guide educators on how to meaningfully introduce the stories and themes to students and their school communities. This year’s educational resource feature powerful stories written by First Nations peoples celebrating ‘the legacy of ancestors, the strength of young leaders, and the vision of communities.’

The resources can be found on the NAIDOC and ABC Education websites and are designed for Levels F-10 in line with the Australian Curriculum. They aim to inspire teachers, students, and younger generations to learn, connect with and celebrate this rich and diverse history and the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
