Louise is a freelance coach, consultant and researcher and honorary senior fellow with the School of Education, at The University of Queensland. She is internationally known for her research and publications on human rights education, and children’s participatory rights and citizenship (see https://louptales.education/publications/). Her work in human rights education is informed by more than 30 years of collective experience, as an early childhood teacher, storyteller, consultant, researcher and tertiary educator. She has successfully been awarded more than AUD3.5 million in research grant funds and her innovation in teaching scholarship has been awarded a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE). She is moderator of Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) Australia Pacific Region Community of Practice
