Suggested Activities:
- Students are to watch the video clip listed above and discuss the following questions:
- How would you act differently after viewing this film?
- How could urban design reflect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Golden Rule?
- Working in groups of 2-4, students should design a town that would meet the needs of all its residents and reflects the principles of Universal Design listed in the handout. Designs may be presented to the class electronically or as a poster. Students should explain the thinking behind their designs and how the design supports the human rights of the residents.
