Those of you working in educational settings might consider infusing a related lesson. Below is a link to a lesson from the Educators Guide to Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know, developed by Human Rights Education Associates (HREA). This lesson introduces learners to how the Geneva Conventions (international humanitarian law) regulate weapons used by state actors in order to minimize the sufferings of civilians and military personnel. This lesson also touches upon the evolution of legal standards banning such weapons.
